The studio has a baby-led approach. We work around what your baby needs. Whilst some sessions takes only 1.5 hours, other can take up to 3 hours. We expect your baby to feed a little extra, and allow for that time. On newborn session days we only have you booked, this way we do not need to think of anything else than your new baby.
Maternity, children, and family sessions are slightly shorter at around 1-1.5 hours.

Yes, we can come to you. It is an added cost for this service.

Yes, we will capture mum and dad, along with siblings at the end of the session. We recommend siblings to come around 1.5 hours after mum.( they can stay with your partner or friends) This way mum gets her glam on with our in house HMUA stylist whilst we capture baby on her/his own.
-
A newborn gallery will have 50-60 photos to choose from. And a minimum of 5 different setups.
-
We will book you in for an ordering appointment 5-7 days after the session. We will help you through this process to find the perfect products and photo collection that you will love. We offer wall art in a variation of mediums- canvas, metal, acrylic, framed- keepsake boxes filled with beautiful art mounts, a large range of albums, and beautiful desktop pieces.

Maternity sessions are best to do around 28-36 weeks, We do this so we can account for any early babies, and for your comfort, you will feel much more relaxed at this stage rather than 36-40 weeks.
-
You are welcome to bring your own or you can use outfits from our beautiful collection of gowns and dresses. Most women do a combination of both.
-
12-16 weeks before due date to secure a spot. I only take a few newborns per month in order to have availability for when your baby arrives. We will book a tentative date 7 days post due date and once baby arrives pencil in a suitable date.
-
I recommend to give baby a nice long warm bath and a big feed in the morning before you leave. Pop baby in a loose fitting zippy suit, nothing that goes over baby head is best. Once you arrive to the studio give baby a little top-up feed and we can start the session. You only need to bring nappies, spare clothes and formula if baby is formula fed. A dummy can also work wonders. I recommend the Jollypop brand :-). The studio offers dummies for you to use and keep.

Solid soft colours that compliment each other is great. Beige, white, blue, charcoal, neutral colours are best.
-
I do not allow parents to capture the sets as it disrupts the workflow and things will take much longer.
-
We love to capture some of your special items, such as baby girl in mums wedding dress or baby in dads work uniform, perhaps you have a family heirloom you like to incorporate. This is good stuff. We do not allow for cheap eBay props or unsafe items, such as guns or traps.
-
We encourage the parents and siblings to all take part in this beautiful session.

What can I say... I’ve never felt so comfortable with a newborn photographer. I was so relaxed while watching my baby girl get photographed. Marianne was professional, gentle, nurturing and ever so caring. I highly recommend Marianne; you won’t be disappointed. :-)
